Success Stories

After joining a well-balance class, I feel more confident doing stairs. I found the exercises were suitable to my problem of bad balance. The instructors were very friendly, dedicated and ready to give one to one support anytime I need it.

I just came to do shopping at Asda and saw the S4H van. The thing that surprised me was being able to have an NHS Health Check in a van, which was good as it was a drop-in session, with no need to book an appointment. I am 43 so I had started to think about my health more. Having an NHS Health Check made me realise that I am not that active, so I am going to join a gym.

“I was really scared about being tested for HIV, I didn’t know what to expect. But I needn’t have worried, the test was a simple finger prick test and the result was available in 1 minute. Testing is really discreet, theres no waiting room, when you arrive for your appointment you’re seen straight away – the service is quick, discreet and non-invasive. And I had the option of a 3 month supply of free condoms. I just wish I hadn’t put off knowing my HIV status for so long.”

I joined Eat4Health because I needed to lose weight and needed support to do so. I have tried other weight loss programmes in the past which would normally begin well but they never really taught me to change and do exercise they just told me what to eat and what not to eat but not why. I eat more fruit and vegetables and am more aware of my calorie intake and the need for physical activity. My blood pressure has lowered along with my BMI. I would recommend this service to others to make changes for life not just a few months.
